The books I recommend to read here are not published in 2020, but hese are the best books till the date that gives the best knowledge about and techniques of hacking. These books gone updated for years and every module is implemented as per the needs of the readeres and learners. These books are the right path to learn hacking actually what it was.

The Hacker's Playbook 2 [Peter kim]



It is the perfect book to start. You learn how to setup lab environment and using all the well known tools that professional Penetration testers uses. This a 'Pentester Guide', there is an other book called The Hacker's Playbook 3 which could be reffered as 'Red Team Guide'. I recommend to read Playbook 2 before moving to Playbook 3.

The Hacker's Playbook 3 [Peter kim]



It has similar and more guidance towards advanced techniques of hacking. The topics involved in this are - penetration test,  Reconnaissance, Web Application Exploitation, Compromising Networks, Social Engineering techniques, Physical Attacks, avoiding AV’s and IDS and of course, Exploitation.

eb Application included in this book that teaches you some newer techniques that are used nowadays. On top of that, there are attacks against NodeJS, SQL Injection, and some advanced XSS techniques.

This is harder than 2nd Edition. So do read The Hackers Playbook 2.

Real-World Bug Hunting [Peter Yaworski]



It was released in 2019 and upto point for bugs and security features. This book is very well written and goes in-depth into all the important topics in regards to Web Application Security / Bug Hunting, then it takes you to the most common Web Vulnurability Types out there, like:

This book is the sytax of everything you needed. Learn it in individual time it gives a lot of knowledge about powershell, terminal tips.
